4. Avoid hot water as it weakens your hair shaft, making your strands frizzy by opening up the hair scales. Washing your mane with water at room temperature strengthens your hair scales, making them lie down flat. “A great hair trick is to wash your hair with luke warm water and then after the final rinse, rinsing just the hair ends with cold water and squeezing out the moisture to seal the cuticles,” says Natasha who styles mane makeovers at Nalini and Yasmin
5. Condition hair length and tips, not roots. Avoid stay in conditioners during the monsoon. “Steer clear of any hair care product that makes your locks limp. Make liberal use of a serum or a water based hair smoothening balm for that stylized look,” says Natasha. Wrapping your hair in a hot towel, after a wash, lets the steam seep through and gives it a beautiful bounce.
6. Flip your head over and blow dry your mane using a hair brush. Drying roots in the direction opposite to their growth lends enviable volume to your tresses. Need a lift? Use bobby pins to prop up the front two inches sections of your hair. And open up after the hair dries. Also remember to keep the dryer moving, lest you scorch an area of your mane with aggressive drying.
7. And the bottomline is, eat and sleep well. A nutritionally sound diet and effective power naps reflect well on your crowning glory.
