Innovation is the bloodline in the business. “The biggest challenge is
creating new concepts all the time. And imitation is the best form of
flattery: As anything we design is quickly replicated in the market, so we
have to outdo ourselves constantly,” they say. And the stress factor… “We
are very organised,” they refute quickly. “And the business has its phases
of lull. Though from Diwali in till February we are really hard pressed
for time.”
Meticulous and conscientious, Poonam and Anjali work hands-on to deliver
each order. Whether it is a volume of 25 or 2500 items. “Call it quality
control. We put the final touches ourselves. My husband laughs, that we
cannot run a professional business like this. But that is the way we are.
Perfectionists to the core,” sums up Poonam.
